The Girls’ Program & Daisy Wheel
In collaboration with a medical consulting board which included a school nurse, a pediatrician, an oncologist, a breast surgeon and a radiologist, GIT developed the Daisy Wheel. (See it in action.) This highly innovative tool is introduced by health educators to girls beginning in 5th grade, when introducing topics of hygiene and the girls’ changing bodies, and is taught annually through 12th grade.
The Get In Touch Girls’ Program consists of the Daisy Wheel and the Instructional Video (below), and when used together, will give girls the foundation they need to practice BSE – for life. Heralded in the medical community as a tool that will significantly alter the face of Breast Cancer, the Daisy Wheel is available to your school.

Our global initiative is to put a Daisy Wheel in the hands of every girl in the world!
The Get In Touch Girls’ Program & Daisy Wheels are provided at no financial cost to your school — but we sure would appreciate your participation in a “GIT Your Pink On!” Day service project and awareness campaign. By doing so, you help us offset the expense of our program while bringing attention to this valuable educational initiative. A donation of any size to Get In Touch is an investment in the health of your students.
Agree to host a “GIT Your Pink On!” Day at your school
The International “GIT Your Pink On!” Day is the third Friday in October (learn more). If that date doesn’t work for you – that’s okay, just choose a convenient date for your school. Any month will do!
This is how it works:
Each student – male or female! – is encouraged to wear something pink to school and donate one dollar ($1) to The Get In Touch Foundation. Faculty and administration participation is also encouraged. Upon registration, you will be given access to materials that you can download, print and post to use to advertise the event at your school. You can also set up a fundraising account for your school which you can customize and encourage kids to set up their own individual fundraising pages. You can find out more on our Crowdrise fundraising site.
This meaningful service project and awareness campaign for the program assists us in our most important initiative – “changing the world one girl at a time!”
The Daisy Wheels will be shipped to you once we receive your registration and although agreeing to host a “GIT Your Pink On!” Day is not a requirement, we hope you’ll do what you can to help us further our mission!
