Recommended Resources: Paper Daisy Wheels and an Educator’s Digital Toolkit​

The Daisy Wheel™ is a paper visual aid that outlines the steps of a breast self-exam in a friendly and approachable way. They are available in both English and Spanish and are shipped completely free in packs of 25. ​

The Educator’s Digital Toolkit is an easy-to-use presentation that includes the BSE steps found on our paper Daisy Wheel, discussion questions, a quick quiz and an instructional video. You can hide or skip any slides that don’t meet the needs of your lesson…we’re just providing the tools! Ordering is free and a download link will be emailed separately. ​

Both resources can be used independently or together to teach a breast health lesson.

Coming soon: Developed with a curriculum writer and our Medical Advisory Board, our Daisy Wheel Curriculum is geared for grades 9-12 and serves as a guide to teach a breast health lesson plan according to each state’s standards. The Curriculum has three components: A PDF of the Lesson Plan, Daisy Wheel High School Presentation and paper Daisy Wheels for each student. Once ordered, links to download the PDF and presentation will be emailed to you. We recommend one paper Daisy Wheel per student, be sure to order the quantity of English and/or Spanish Daisy Wheels desired to be shipped to your school free of charge.

The Get In Touch Foundation is currently field testing this program and would love to hear from high school educators willing to participate. Based on SHAPE America’s National Health Education Standards, this curriculum is being slightly updated to meet these newly released standards. If your state does not adhere to this SHAPE approach, we can research your state’s specific requirements and adapt our program to address any of these specific standards.

Breast Self-Exams are a free and simple way for the Adolescent Young Adult (AYA) Population to be breast self-aware in the absence of diagnostic screenings. ​

Encourage your patients to download our free Daisy Wheel App to guide them through a breast self-exam and set monthly reminders so they become comfortable with knowing what their breasts look and feel like. This tool is also beneficial for adult patients in between annual screenings and wellness exams to confidently speak to any changes that may occur.

Empower your college students to improve their consistency in conducting breast self-exams. Young Adults can become more breast self-aware as part of their regular health care routine. ​University students can download our free Daisy Wheel App onto their smartphone and have a self-guided experience to learn how to conduct a breast self-exam, as well as set monthly reminders.
